Privacy Policy
Who we are
TablePulse is a product and customer-facing brand operated by Shiftedfrequency LLC dba TablePulse (“TablePulse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). TablePulse is not a separate legal entity from Shiftedfrequency LLC.
TablePulse provides restaurants with a guest feedback and communication platform. Guests at participating restaurants can scan a QR code and use TablePulse-hosted web pages to share feedback or send a message to restaurant management.
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how TablePulse handles information collected through our marketing website and the TablePulse platform. We do not sell personal information. Contact us for data questions related to your restaurant account.
This policy will continue to be updated as TablePulse’s features, integrations, and retention practices mature.
Information we collect
Website and contact submissions
When you use our contact form, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, restaurant name, role, and message content. We use that information to respond to your inquiry.
Restaurant accounts and team members
When a restaurant uses TablePulse, we collect account and operational information needed to provide the service. Depending on how the restaurant configures and uses TablePulse, this may include restaurant name and settings, team member names and email addresses, invitation records, staff/server profiles shown to guests, survey questions, reward offer text, notification email addresses, and related account activity.
Guest feedback and guest messages
Guests interacting with a restaurant’s TablePulse pages may provide feedback ratings and written responses, optional contact details the guest chooses to share, and free-text messages addressed to restaurant management. Guest message content submitted through TablePulse may be delivered to opted-in restaurant managers or staff as described in the TablePulse Guest Alerts section below.
Technical and service information
Like most web services, our systems process technical information necessary to operate and protect the service (for example, request metadata used for security, rate limiting, and reliability). Where the application records IP address or browser user agent in connection with a specific action such as SMS consent or opt-out, that information is stored with the related record.
How we use information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the TablePulse website and platform;
- provide restaurants with guest feedback, insights, and related operational tools;
- deliver guest messages and TablePulse Guest Alerts to recipients who have opted in;
- authenticate users, manage invitations and roles, and secure accounts;
- send product and transactional communications such as invitation emails;
- respond to contact-form inquiries; and
- protect the service against abuse and unauthorized access.
When feedback analysis features are enabled for a restaurant, guest feedback content may be processed using artificial-intelligence providers configured for TablePulse in order to generate summaries or related insights for that restaurant.
Service providers
TablePulse uses service providers that process information on our behalf to operate the service. Depending on which features are in use, these may include:
- email delivery providers (currently Postmark) for transactional and product email;
- telecommunications / messaging providers (currently Twilio) to send SMS Guest Alerts and related program messages to opted-in recipients; and
- AI providers (currently OpenAI, when configured) to analyze guest feedback content.
These providers process information to help us deliver TablePulse. They are not authorized to use SMS opt-in or consent information for their own marketing purposes.
TablePulse Guest Alerts SMS
TablePulse Guest Alerts is an optional SMS program for restaurant managers and staff. Guests do not receive SMS through this feature. After a staff member personally opts in, TablePulse may send that person an SMS when a guest at their restaurant sends a management message through TablePulse, so the restaurant can address the issue while the guest may still be on site. The program is currently one-way operational messaging; it is not a two-way guest/manager SMS conversation.
A restaurant administrator entering a staff member’s mobile number does not constitute that person’s consent to receive SMS. The recipient must complete TablePulse’s SMS opt-in web form themselves.
In connection with TablePulse Guest Alerts, we may collect and retain:
- the staff member’s name and mobile phone number;
- optional email address, if provided to deliver a consent invitation link;
- restaurant association;
- SMS consent / enrollment status;
- date and time of consent and opt-out events;
- consent method (for example, web form or SMS STOP);
- the consent language / version shown at enrollment;
- related invitation records;
- IP address and user agent associated with web-based consent or opt-out actions, when recorded by the application; and
- records needed to send and administer alerts (including message type, delivery status, and provider message identifiers).
We use this information to:
- administer the TablePulse Guest Alerts program;
- send requested guest-message alerts and required enrollment/help messaging;
- maintain records of consent and opt-outs; and
- operate and protect the service.
TablePulse does not sell or share SMS opt-in data or consent information with third parties for marketing purposes. Telecommunications and other service providers may process information on our behalf as needed to deliver the requested SMS service, but SMS consent information is not provided to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Recipients may opt out by replying STOP to a TablePulse Guest Alerts message, or by using TablePulse web controls that disable SMS alerts for their enrollment. After opting out, TablePulse will not send further Guest Alerts to that number for that restaurant unless the recipient completes a new affirmative opt-in.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers as described above, with the restaurant that owns the relevant TablePulse account where the information relates to that restaurant’s use of the service, and when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of TablePulse, our users, or others.
Data retention
TablePulse retains information for as long as needed to provide the service to the restaurant account, maintain consent and operational records, and meet legal or security requirements. Specific retention schedules are still being formalized for early pilots.
Security
We use administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the service to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
